Technology & AI

Revolutionary
The first industrial revolution began in 1760 and included mechanisation, textile manufacturing and steam power. The second industrial revolution, 1870 – 1914, saw the development of electricity, chemicals and steel. The third industrial revolution, the digital revolution spanned 1960s- 1990s and saw the development of electronics, computers, telecommunications and the internet. The fourth industrial revolution developed data sharing and automation of data between 1980s – 2000s. The fifth, and current, industrial revolution is developing Artificial Intelligence and integration of AI across various industries spanning manufacturing to healthcare.
It took 220 years until the third revolution and 40 years for the next two!
Social care is inherently person-centred, and just as the textile factories of the first industrial revolution harnessed cutting-edge technology, we must embrace modern advancements like digitisation and AI to transform and revolutionise the sector.
We are promoting the adoption of a program that will improve the care you offer, upskilling the workforce and provide efficiencies for the care providers.
We are also preparing for the sixth Industrial revolution which will be ROBOTICS and looking at how this will impact the sector
